Scratchers Lotto: How to Win Lotto Scratchers

How many times have you bought a scratchers lotto ticket, completed your scratching, and felt, "this was a waste of money"??

I will bet that has happened to all of us at least once. Then, after buying a scratchers lotto ticketand losing your money, you probably thought that there is no way the ticket-makers or the government would place a winning ticket in the stacks of scratchers lotto ticket they send out to convenience stores and grocery stores. What better way to scam the general public and take our money than to trick people into thinking they can win at a game that is ultimately unwinnable, right?

Wrong! As with every other type of lottery game, there is a strategy to the scratchers lotto ticket. This game is not based on luck. It is based on odds. You don't win if you're lucky. Rather, you win if you minimize your odds. Decrease your odds, and you increase your chance of winning. In this post, I will explain how to win lotto scratchers tickets. (If you want even more tips and proven strategies, visit The Lottery Method.)

1) If you buy several tickets, buy tickets of the same game. In other words, do not buy one ticket from each game. The odds are against you if you do that. Buying several tickets of the same game increases your chances of winning that game.

2) Before you purchase a scratchers lotto ticket, look at the back of the ticket (or ask the convenience store clerk to look for you). On the back, you will notice that the odds of winning that game are printed clearly in fine print. The goal is to choose the game that has better odds. So, if you come across one ticket for a game whose odds are 1 out of 5.5 and another ticket for a came whose odds are 1 out of 6.2, you need to choose the game the better odds of 1 out of 5.5. You should find the game with the best odds and purchase a ticket (or several) for that game.

3) Play a scratchers lotto game in an EMPTY store. Doing so will allow you to take your time to find the lotto scratchers game with the best odds. If the tickets are behind the counter, an empty store will give you the freedom to talk to the convenience store clerk and ask about the odds of each game, etc.

4) Set a limit for your losses. That helps you set a maximum amount of money that you are willing to spend, cut your losses, and, thus, a set time when you will stop playing. Whether it is $10, $30, or $100, pick a limit, and stick to it.

5) Don't play the $1 tickets because those have the worst odds. Instead, focus on the $3, $5, and $10 tickets (and up).
